A small but perfectly formed version of Edington Village Volunteer Group met on the 21st October in wet and windy conditions to tackle this month’s tasks. We focussed on the area around the Parish Hall, clearing the emergency exit path and banks around the rear of the hall. We managed to achieve a great deal in a relatively short period of time adding a large pile to the collective compost heap. This month’s refreshment break was hosted in the hall, featuring hazelnut biscuits.
The group meets for a couple of hours at 9:30 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month to carry out maintenance and improvement works around the village. We always welcome new members – we’re a very friendly bunch and there’s usually cake.
If you would like to join us for any month’s activity drop a note to me, Andrew Trigg, on dart_more@ymail.com or 07768 022041and I’ll be pleased to give details of our sessions, or just turn up on the day. We will next be meeting at 9.30am on the 18th November at the Parish Hall.
